Solvocore is seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to support our team on a flagship mining infrastructure project. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career while gaining exposure to large-scale mining and industrial works.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿

 • BSc / National Diploma in Quantity Surveying

 • 1–3 years’ experience (mining or civils experience advantageous)

 • Strong MS Excel skills, CCS Candy knowledge an advantage

 • Attention to detail with a structured, analytical approach

 • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

 • Assisting with cost control and monthly valuations

 • Measurement and BOQ preparation

 • Contract administration and record-keeping

Advice for Candidates

Even if you have internship or project-based experience, make sure your resume highlights both your academic background and real-world experience. In addition to technical proficiency, employers in the mining and infrastructure industries are looking for applicants who can adjust to the demands of large-scale sites. Emphasize your knowledge of CCS Candy, your proficiency with Excel, and any prior experience preparing BOQs or managing contracts. To show flexibility, if you're not based in Kathu, mention that you're willing to work remotely.

Suggestions for Novice Quantity Surveyors

Your greatest assets as a Junior QS will be accuracy and documentation. As the foundation of efficient cost control and project reporting, make it a habit to keep thorough records of everything from site measurements to cost tracking. You can improve your comprehension of contracts, valuations, and client interactions by actively seeking mentorship from senior QSs. Maintaining organization and composure under pressure will make you stand out in the high-pressure world of mining projects.

📍 This position will be based in Kathu.
