This is an on-site, full-time role where you’ll play a critical part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse and distribution channels. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Controller, you will help maintain stock accuracy, manage deliveries, and support the logistics operations that keep Singita’s properties running seamlessly.

- Manage the receipt of deliveries at the receiving bay, capturing details into the system.
- Conduct quality control checks and verify goods against invoices and orders.
- Professionally package orders, create labels (weights, dimensions, COO), and allocate them to property-specific bays.
- Support the Warehouse Controller in physical counts, stock rotation (FIFO), and inventory reconciliation.
- Maintain a tidy, organized warehouse environment while caring for goods and equipment.
- Coordinate with internal teams to meet operational needs and delivery deadlines.
- Actively contribute to Singita’s conservation values, including seeking ways to make warehouse processes more sustainable.

- Matric/NQF qualification (essential).
- Valid driver’s license; forklift license advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and accounting software (Pastel/Palladium preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and attention to detail.
- South African citizenship or valid work permit.
- A proactive mindset with initiative and the ability to manage stock control efficiently.
Advice for Applicants
Highlight prior warehouse or logistics experience when applying, particularly any time you've worked with inventory control systems like Excel, Palladium, or Pastel. Stress your capacity for efficiency and organization, as Singita appreciates people who can maintain operations even under duress.
Demonstrating your alignment with Singita's purpose-driven culture is equally important. Mentioning your involvement in sustainability, community projects, or just your deep passion for conservation in your application could make you stand out.
A Day in the Life of a Singita Warehouse Clerk
In the receiving bay, you start your day by inspecting fresh deliveries, confirming their quality, and entering the items into the warehouse system. Labeling and packing orders going to various lodges in the middle of the morning may be necessary to ensure that the dimensions and property allocations are accurate.
In addition to fielding communications from various operational teams, the afternoon frequently entails stock counts, crate organization, and dispatch coordination. You are part of a bigger mission throughout the day, helping upscale hospitality businesses that directly support African conservation and community development. You are not just moving boxes.

- Collaborative and values-driven work culture.
- Opportunity to learn and contribute beyond your role through multi-skilling.
- Exposure to luxury hospitality operations at an international standard.
